Overclocked X6800

I got my X6800 on stock cooling from 2.98GHz to 3.34GHz. and the temp. right now idle is 56C. Do you think or reccomend me going any higher is fine? Possibly 3.50GHz? Or should I wait a week or so untill I get my new cooler? Thermalright by the way.

Wait for the new cooler. That temp is OK for bench marks, but, isn't a healthy idle temp to keep. Good luck.

Definitely wait for the new cooler. 56C idle is very high and upon load it'll definitely go over the recommended temperature of the CPU.

What's your vcore set at?

56c idle? My E6600 at 3.15ghz does 43c full load. And when I get it to 3.60ghz, it does about 51c full load. Time to get a Tuniq Tower 120.
