How will vista ultimate compare?

I want to get vista ultimate ok......ok

My question is with G.Skill 4GB of memory, 8800GTS 640MB (single card), Physx Card, E6320, 550w PSU, ASUS P5NSLI Motherboard, and various other bits that really are not that important how will it perform playing City of Hero's?

Compared to my current rig?

Consider that to build this rig will cost about $500 than what it cost me to build my current rig 1 year ago!

My concern is that vista ultimate will suck up to many resource's and leave we wanting!

PS....I have a PNY 8800GTS 320MB Loaner from nvidia it bench's great but visually it is the same as my current rig minimum FPS on CoH was 28.3FPS with my setup and with the 8800GTS 320MB it was 28.5FPS

PSS....I am hoping this new build along with vista ultimate will give me a minimum of no less than 50FPS

Vista Ultimate doesn't use that much extra resources. That rig is much, much more powerful than your current, even with Vista.

I wouldn't get that Physx card, the $200 could be spent somewhere else.

Vista Ultimate maybe takes off 5fps in games, but it goes down every time a new driver is released.

The OS has nothing to do with maximum overclock. And yes, you can use most open source, windows-based apps (Open office, Firefox, etc.)

Because they're just not worth it. Very few games support them, and they don't do much in the ones they do support. That money would be better spent on a nicer motherboard and a good sound card.
