22 vs 24 inch - anyone got both? - Page 3

In truth, once you get a 24", having a 22" right beside it is suddenly a downer. The brightness is really getting to me. I've been telling myself that I don't NEED another 24" but I think it's about that time that I invest in a second Gateway 24".

Riding the bleeding edge, huh? Tsk. We wanted to see what you could do with the QX6800.

What's the price on the 6850 anyway?

Ya, a 24" is way nicer. But the 22" should have slightly larger text (by default) because it's just a stretched 20". (I have 20" and love it.)
I don't really see it as strange, I still do plenty of really girly things too.

The only reason I love PCs and making a top system is because I work in IT anyway and also the social aspect of it.

I enjoy being on here and chatting to people from all over the place and learning from people.

Thanks for the replies all.

I decided to go with 24", ordered the 2407 from Dell, got them down to £450 (THATS $900 btw!!!!!!!! You lot in the US are sooooooooooo lucky!) inc delivery and 4 year warranty as the guy said thats the lowest he could do it for.... But I just sent them an email to cancel, as I read earlier on another forum they were selling them for £407 a few weeks ago! ($814).

I am now going to wait and see how much Samsung sell their 245t for when it comes out, it has a US MSRP of $799, I wish we had the equivilent here! I would eveb mind paying an extra £100 for it!

Shouldve stayed with the Dell 24", that was a good deal too.

I believe the Dell uses Samsung screens anyways.

They've said it's been shipped out, even though previously they told me the delivery date was the 11th :-/

I don't mind to be honest as I doubt the new Samsung (or the new Dell) will be sold for that price. I guess I will try to get them to refund me the difference to the Easter offer price or tell them I will send it back under the distance selling regulations where you have 7 days to change your mind.

I wanted the Sammy - but I guess it will be selling for at least £600 here in the UK.

The 2407 is a beutiful monitor I love their whole Ultra Sharp line up. I got one this year probably 3 months ago. I paid around $650 US with a decent discount. You cant order direct from Dell? Im sure that the Samsung will be nice they make a good product but no image can descripe now nice that 2407 looks in person.
