DFI LANPARTY X38-T2R for ddr2 @ computex - Page 2

IHS on the NB can only mean this sucker is going to get HOT. No surprise though, since Intel already said the P35 NB ran hot.

My question is, are the orange and yellow things at the bottom of the board vertical SATA ports??

I do LOVE all the clearance around the socket though. AMEN DFI!

Agreed- The socket clearance will make insulating for TEC/Phase much easier IMO

Why does DFI always release teal-washed photos?

Hmmm, upgrade my P965-S Infinity or stay with it...choices Looks good, hopefully they'll dump the heatpipe contraption (just like their 680 LT board).

#1, Intel will not allowed DDR2 on X38.
#2, DFI for Intel? Better see what ASUS will have, because it'll be much better
#3, It's not going to happen basically.

DFI and their poor support for Intel, as always.

It's a newer more modern method. Now you won't have to worry about clearing those things and things like tall capacitors.

#1 Intel boards won't, but that doesn't mean 3rd party manufacturers won't include DDR2 functionality......

#2 While the DFI 965-S was late to the party, it seems just as competent as the P5B Dlx. I wouldn't be so quick to write this board off.....

#3 ?
