A new office computer build

Thread Starter
Ok, this build is just for an office computer, so nothing fancy.

Budget: $800 for the tower, $250 for the monitor, budget is flexible.

Operating system is not needed.
Motherboard needs to be high quality, but does not need to be good for overclocking (my dad is going to use this, and I doubt this machine will ever be overclocked). Must support onboard RAID 1.
Graphics card just needs to be something NOT onboard, nothing fancy, and only needs to have 1 monitor output (preferably the digital output though). Must be nvidia.

He is willing to wait till July 22nd, to get the dual cores at a deep discount. Must be Intel, not interested in quad core unless the price is really close to the dual core.
2GB of RAM required, again, does not need to overclock.
Must be a reliable PSU brand. (silverstone / corsair most likely)

I'm probably going to get the E6600 when the price drops to $133, a decent 7 series card for around $100, 2 250GB barracudas, and the 520 watt corsair, just need suggestions on the mobo mainly

Also, I'm going to get the same DVD writer and the same floppy disk drive that's in my machine. Probably the same case too.

I was going to use the same mobo that I used in my own build, but I realized that it was almost $200, and since he has no use for overclocking in the future, or 2 PCIe slots, he can save some $ on that.

I personally think C2D is overkill for a office pc (heck even my build is)

But at least mine is around $700 with a monitor

Yeah, but it helps a lot with multitasking, and with the prices the way they are, might as well get a dual core.

The floppy is just for RAID drivers, so I have to have that.
An Intel CPU is a must as well (We had a problem with an AMD computer once, and will never use AMD again).
I'll probably get a full ATX case, just because it's easier for me to work with.
The PSU HAS to be a reliable brand.. how about THIS silverstone?: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817163030

The 7600 graphics card seems sufficient as well.

And what's the diff between an ATX and micro-ATX mobo? Don't I want an ATX mobo?

(Note: that mobo doesn't come w/ enough SATA cables, but that's OK, I have 5 extra cables from my build)

micro only has 1 or 2 slots, alot smaller
