My fiancee loooves vintage video games.

Is there a site where she could play them on her laptop? She loves all the classics, Centipede, Galxian, Pac-man, ect.

She would love it if she could play it on her laptop instead of on that little tiny arcade joystick I bought her for the TV...

Load her up a copy of MAME and see about getting some old arcade ROMs from old arcade machines (since suggesting to dl them is probably against TOS?)

Krunk, there's one of two ways you could go about getting those coveted ROM collections for your soon-to-be.

1. You go looking for a good collection on one of the many random websites just to be able to get the sets your woman wants.

2. PM me for a link to a TOSEC (The Old School Emulator Collection) supporting website that has enough collections to bedazzle you and your woman for the next couple of years.

*shrug* Its not really the sites, so much as which ROMs you get.
There are user-created ROMs that are legal, and then there's copyrighted ROMs from the "real" arcade games. If she doesn't mind that its got a strange name, she could play games that are essentially the same thing, just slightly different. Of course, if you happen to own the game already (for some odd reason) you could just run it there...

If she doesn't mind having to be online, theres places like GameTap and this place: http://www.tripletsandus.com/80s/80s_games/arcade.htm

Here you go, the ultimate in legal:
http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?...t%5Fid=D000993

Atari and several other mfg have their old games available PC the link there has Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command, Pong, Super Breakout, and Tempest. But, check out mame, some of the user-created games are really interesting....

http://www.mofunzone.com/online_classic_games.shtml

Pac-Man, Excite Bike, Mario games, Metal Slug, Contra, 1942. They're all Flash based, and I'm sure that they have a download section, too.
