Overclock brand new build ?

Do you guys suggest overclocking a brand new build, or just wait till the need comes to do so. If the temp stays down does overclocking take the lifespan of a cpu.

you should edit your system specs so we can see what your working with. But generally no you can overclock a brand new system, but take it in baby steps. The lifespan of the cpu shouldn't be affected heavily if you stay under 1.5-1.55 Vcore.

Overclocking is a slow process, take it easy till you can find your max stable clock and watch temps, as long as you can keep them under 50*C, its grand
