Hey guys,

Building a new PC this summer as I'm looking to get heavy into WoW and I already play guild wars, but my current comp only plays them at around 20FPS on medium/high. So let me know what you think of my rig, and make suggestions, but please only make them from www.komplett.ie , I'm in Ireland so no newegg, and komplett is the cheapest in Ireland for everything

MOBO
CPU
RAM
PSU
HDD
DVD
GPU
CASE
LCD

I also play steam games etc. and will probably get BF2 and BF:2142 after I build...

Thanks for any suggestions/help etc.

IF that is your rig in your sig that should play pretty much everything at full especially WoW.

I don't want to sound like a broken record.... but at this point in time you would be much better off going with intel core 2 duo. That processor is going to hold you back and for not that much more money you could have a really solid build.

since you mentioned you would like to play bf2 or 2142 you will really want a faster processor.

what is your total budget for this build?

im just looking around a little at the overclockers.co.uk site and you could get a 4300(can o/c nicely) and a ds3 for not much more.

Yea core2 would be the ultimate option but for moneys sake the 3600 brisbane would be better. If you plan on overclocking you could atleast get it to about 2.8-3.1 easily. Plus with AMD's plan to release its quad-cores and new dual cores soon, all he would have to do it upgrade his processor again. Id say stick with the build you have planned now and overclock it. just my 2 cents

Thats my main reason for going AMD, I was gonna get an E4300, but with AMD's backwards compatability, I think it would be the wiser choice

the 4300 I linked is 2 euro more the 4300 would overclock way better

also the mobo he first linked is pretty budget. I highly doubt he would be able to just drop in amd's quad core down the line.

I would seriously consider going c2d if you want to get the most for your money

if this is out of your budget then I suppose just go amd...but im afraid you will be crawling on bf2, WoW should be ok but you are going to have troubles with anything more than that
