is my cpu really overheating???

Thread Starter
I have an E6600 with an ACF7 and AS5 on it and i'm noticing something very strange with my temps. I looked at speedfan, coretemp and TAT and they all say that both my cores are at 50-52C. To me that sounds very unrealistic. I tried reapplying AS5 and even cleaning out the fins of any dust that was there but I still get core temp readings of 50-52C. Is my cpu really overheating or are the programs wrong and the temp sensor is busted?

your reading the CPU internal diode, that's always around 10c higher...
some motherboards read this out as the cpu temp in CMOS/windows, others use an mobo sensor..... depends on the mobo......if i use a fan on the backside of my motherboard, cpu temp drops, while the iternal diode almost remains the same
