Well, the parts are ordered.
Switched the cooler over to a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme with a Silverstone FM121 fan.
Switched RAM to a set of low latency G-Skill RAM.
Swapped drive for a 250GB Seagate Barracuda (perpendicular)

Bought a nice new tube of AS5 for the CPU and video card.
Thank you for your recommendations, although I had no intentions of buying a C2D. Once an AMD fanboy, always a fanboy.

Ya the 3600 brisbane is an awesome core. I can get mine to boot at 3.18 ghz. I can run it stable at 3.1 ghz, and I run under load at less than 52C at these settings

Hooray photos! I got the camera back :3

Everything out of the big box it was packed in

Athlon 64 X2 5600 and Seagate 250GB HDD

ASUS Crosshair Motherboard, Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme CPU Cooler, Silverstone FM121 Fan

Geforce 8800GTX and 2GB of Gskill ram

Its gonna be HUGE!

Sliverstone 750W Modular PSU

«Assembly»
Motherboard on the removable tray

Back Panel - lots of goodies

Cooler installed - its freakin huge!

HUGE!!!!

Didn't have access to the camera when I was installing everything in the case and routing wires so you get the finished product. The Silverstone fan I chose to use on the cooler didn't have the right body so I had to zip tie it onto the cooler. The wire brackets would not work with it. I can fit my index finger between the end of the 8800GTX and the edge of the hard drive rack.

Completely Assembled and Running

Nice build, everything looks nice. I just don't understand why you didn't get the Core 2 Duo?

Nice rig!

BTW if you are a AMD fanboy, why in the heck do you have a 8800 GTX? Why not AMD HD 2900xt?
