Every solution you list is an extra hassle to deal with. Carry iPod, phone, keys, etc? Hassle.

Why not combine two everyday devices to free up pocket space instead of taking up more with extra junk.
The problem is, most apple fanboys I know (there's a few of em, trust me) that will be buying this phone won't even carry their ipods in their pockets because they fear it might get OMG A SCRATCH. What the heck are they gonna do when they buy this guaranteed to break waste of $500? Carry it around in a padded breifcase?

I may be speaking from a position of slight prejudice since I don't own a media player, or a PDA, or even use AIM for that matter. If I am not in my room where my computer is, it usually means I am busy working and don't have the spare time to screw with entertaining myself. Not to mention which the iPhone or an iPod would last for about two hours before being smashed if I dared take one to work with me.

I think hassle is constantly trying to find new ways to waste time and money.

It's really sad out here, I talked today with Apple Store Sales Guy & he told me that the iPhone will be here by the end of this year ........... he said that we are bonded with Europe.

Any OS will destroy the RAZR. RAZR sucks but that's all I can afford atm.. I would get a RIZR but too girly and a PDA isn't right for me and too expensive...

I rather carry that, an iPod http://loop.worldofapple.com/wp-cont...woa_ipod5g.jpg How FREAKEN SMALL and that's all the space in my pocket that I need to "waste"..

Besides pocket space c'mon since when did people become so uptight about tiny objects which even so iPhone is not. and for it's price it's not worth the extra hassle of throwing away my ipod and cell phone..

Besides for the price tag of that phone under contract they could at least put 3G. when comparing phones this iphone is the same as cingular 8125 or T-mobile wing but extremely overpriced due to space not needed in a phone.

Some of us still use a cell phone as a phone. Call someone, hang up. Texting & net on a phone are still to immature. The speed is almost as fast as dialup.

Yet you're okay with PDA's, right?

LOL.

TY for proving your prejudice.

By the way, have you ever even OWNED a PDA? Have any USE for one? Some of us really do.

And, by the way, I own an 8125 and it's going to be NOWHERE as nice as iPhone.

If anyone is considering purchasing this phone, don't buy the initial release generation. Give it a while... :|

Just a tip whispered from the apple tree..

I wonder how much the ibackpackpowergenorator, to power the iphone with, will cost
post #30 of 39
They could have released a $350 iPod with a full-side touchscreen (even better, a rear click wheel), with a 30GB SSD, all of this leaving room for a better battery, and they would have my money in an instant. Not now. The iPhone is worthless to me.

That was settled in February.
