I thought that, but have you seen the extended heat pipes around the cpu housing? (on the link he posted) Maybe that one is enhanced and so is dearer

Anyhow, even the Striker he posted will max out that chip rather easily. It is a wise choice to get it if you plan on upgrading your CPU in the near future. Or if you will be doing a complete re build before you get another CPU i would greatly advise a cheaper board. My reasons are because you could save alot of money and still get a a decent board that will max out your chip.

So which one should I really get?
I'll probably upgrade the CPU next year or something, and definitely the graphics card soon but thats about it, I might get more RAM, should I sell my RAM and get more RAM (4GB) with faster bus speeds? Or should I overclock my current RAM?

7.5Ghz has never and will never be acheived on a E6300

Maybe he meant he got it to 3.75 (x2 because of the 2 cores) would =7.5Ghz

However it doesn't work like that, it would ony be a 3.75Ghz processor regardless of how many cores it has.

The board is a good choice and will leave you futureproof for a long time to come

If you have the desire to get it, you will not be making the wrong choice.

And note, even 3.75 is an awesome OC for a E6300 and will not come easily. Escpecially on air cooling, you would never reach that on stock cooling with safe temps.

So? He's running just one 7600GT.

Striker is a waste of money for a gaming rig in his situation. Even with amazing CPU OC's, he would be GPU bottlenecked.
Once again...

Well if you are upgradind the GPU and the CPU then get the Striker mobo as it will leave you enough headroom to max out your next CPU

However i am confused by your RAM, as far as i know DDR2 400 doesn't exist but i could be wrong

Even if it did, it would serverely cap your OC and you would have to put it on a huge divider to reach those high FSB (which is what the striker is meant to be good at) so i would advise getting better RAM if that is the case.

But yes, that board is good if you are going to be upgrading

i disgree, it would be good to have "future-proof" motherboard.
