if so just switch the yellow and red wire , that will lower the fans from 12v to 5v making them SILENT
but also making them move about as much air in a minute as i can with my nostrils in one blow lol

they are 3 pin, then connected to an adaptor molex. The wires are see through lol, so dont know which one is red or yellow.

There was a HUGE scandal some time ago about SilenX underreporting their CFM/dBa values, and the CEO of SilenX openly admitted on XS I believe about their little scheme. I don't know if they have since corrected their figures or not but I will not buy a SilenX fan at all because of their shady past.

you have 4 of these fans. Buzzing right next to each other. And pulling air through a tightly knit aluminum web. What you hear is 90% air moving quickly past the aluminum fins (Its a very annoying noise to me) - I doubt you can hear any bearing noise.

Although I am with you partially, Silenx has rated these too low, and CD has even said that, they are closer to 23-25dB, not 18. Also they are overpriced, but CD again did his best getting a deal on the price.

Anyone who thinks that they can get fans that quiet with anygood CFM rating anyways is a little naive if you ask me...

But either way, sucks that you spent that much on em...

next time, yate loons or panaflos should be in your cart instead. But of course you already knew that.

Never hurts to try something new.

I WANT THAT RADDD!

I stand corrected, http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums...pic.php?t=4504

Silenx didn't openly admit to underreporting figures, just artificially inflating their products.

I turned them on even not on the rad, and my Yate Loons were 25 dBA , and the SilenX were a bit louder, i'd say they are 28dBA free flowing.
