Brass Barbs ?

Thread Starter
Hi all

Almost all the bits have arrived for my setup but i sourced Barbs locally and picked up Brass ones. Are there any concerns with using brass barbs. I am filling the loop with Fluid XP+ Extreme.

Cheers All

Brass is a bit nicer than the plastic pieces most setups come with these days. I myself am trying to source some brass barbs. Looks like McMaster has a huge selection of 3/8-18 NPT brass barbs

If you are looking to source Barbs, good hose and connectors at sensible money look no further than ur local Hydraulic / Pnuematic Engineering supplier. Every town / city will have em.

For example here in Belfast i got all my Barbs(Brass) and hose for £2.00.

Brass bean berty berty good to me, no sink. Boats are in the most corrosive eviroments (salt water) possible. If you own an old boat or ride in one, every thing that is chrome is chrome over cast brass. In Other words, good stuff for water.
