No No No, the benchmark results seemed s**te but playing the Demo with the same details it was nice and smooth with the occasional buggy stutter

sorry for the change of topic, but is the general concensus that the new 9-series nvidia cards should show up around novermber of '07? I am jsut building a new rig and keeping my 7600GT in fear that the 8-series are total crap when it comes to DX10. I guess i can get one in september and step it up in november if these new cards come

3 reasons I think it may be running slow.

1. No driver support and from what I read. Setting your SLI configuration to "Alternate Frame Rendering 2" works better than other modes.

2. It's based off of the UT2K7 engine(i thought I heard something about that). And still to this day they say it will be using the physX card which we can tell causes tremendous lag in games. Just a thought.

3. Crysis is DX10 and so is Lost Planet. We have seen both of these run tremendously well on our systems.(not mine yet) So why should this game be any different? I think bad coding. Patches will soon come for sure. It shouldn't bog down an oc'ed e6600 and SLI GTX. No way, no how.

4. For giggles Overclock MOAR!!

Tell me what you think Mhill.

we need 9-series as soon as possible . it,s all ati,s fault , if they did thier work properly and released the 2900xt when they where supposed to , then we would have alredy gotten the 8900gtx by now and the 9800gtx before the end of the year .

We're talking about DX10 mode in Vista, of course it works fine (although not as good as XP) with most DX9 games, it gives an insane amount of problems when in DX10.

I wouldn't judge DX10 yet, it just started. And for those who keep on posting that "9800GTX is better" in every thread related to G80 performance in DX10, good luck waiting. At least we still get to enjoy DX9 titles at max settings with forced AA/AF, and it's been that way for 8 months and counting. And no, a 432145321532534253421532800GTXXXX will kill the 9800GTX, and my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson's getting 8 of them in SLI if the planet isn't destroyed by then.

Well if i remember correctly dx9 started alkmost the same way (big performance hits) and even if dx10 does go down the tube(which it wont) our dx10 cards are power houses when used in dx9 applications. IF your cards and systems are slowing down i might reconsider on my summer build to keep my card now and trade up later for the price/performance. Though dx10 is still in its infancy so things could dramtically turn around.

I thought this game was built off of the gamebryo engine? If so, then I can instantly see why its buggy and bad performance.
