Oops.
I was wrong. There are already quite a few DX10 laptops on the market.
Here are some choices, and what is your budget exactly ?

I really don't understand people who want laptops... esp. for gaming. I mean, some say it's 'for college', but I rarely needed a computer when on campus, and if I did, I just hopped in the nearest lab... did all work in my room.

For gaming, nothing beats a desktop. Laptops just get very hot.
I guess some don't know about the temperatures issue. But then again, are they a major "bottleneck" ? The games will play, and that's what's important. Some do not require "super overclocked graphics"

Just my 2cents Chozart

only problem with a super powerful laptop is that the battery usually dosent last long especially when gaming so it kind of kills the whole portabillity thing because you will have to plug it in everywhere you go soon after getting there. but yeah my dell 9300 works sweet i was just playing games on it a min ago

These kind of "powerful" laptops are called desktop replacement. They are looking for machines that can be easily transported, but not exactly want to use them during their time transporting them

Very useful for LAN parties

One of the main reasons i brought a laptop. Chozat doesn't understand why people want laptops for gaming. Obviously he hasn't had to lug his PC around all the time.

It is so much easier carrying this laptop around than my whole desktop computer. Quicker as well.

Nothing. No notebook out can run everything at max with high fps. Your best bet is to find a 7950GTX SLi rig. The new DX10 cards won't run that fast... maybe, just maybe, the 8800M GTX in SLi might do it with current games, but it's not released and there isn't a release date.

You could with a desktop though.
