max overclock with e6320

Thread Starter
i was wondering what would be the max overclock with this system and what would limit me (new heatsink tt blue orb 2 on the way):
CPU: core 2 duo e 6320
Ram: 2×1gb ddr2-667 kingston value ram
Mobo: Asus p5b-e
GPU: Palit X1950GT
Heatsink: Deepcool Vdragon (better one on the way so consider it with the above heatsink mentioned)

I agree with Alex.

High hopes!!

Aim for 3GHz!!!

For the cooler (if your gonna go air) go with the Zalman 9700!

667 ram will limit you the most with that setup 333 x 9 = 2997 (around 3ghz) if the ram is EXTREMELY OCable then maybe 3.2

Lol the site that the results came from are CPU-Z validations.

CPU-Z is a tool that outlines your system configuration (like directx diagnostic.. on a more advanced scale) it just tells you about your CPU voltage settings you have set FSB frequency, RAM settings and motherboard information.

Google CPU-Z the validation link is just to prove the frequency you have reached (wether or not it's stable) to show off with you'll find links to peoples achievements in their sigs a lot. like WVKID4456 for example.

I own the E6320 on a P5N-E SLI (before it died) i was getting stable 3.1GHz i'd like to try higher but that was under water.. So on my new mainboard i'm gonna be trying for straight 3GHz disputing between the Thermalright 120 Ultra extreme and the Zalman 9700NT (i want high thermal performance silence and some looks) So it's a hard decision.

Ack! Why? 9700 is leaps better than the 9500, but still not too high on the list of "best coolers".

TT120 or TR120Extreme...

True- but I bet there are better coolers for the same $$ as the 9500... even the 9700!
