My firefox over the past 2 days starts bringing up new windows if I press the button "ctrl". even if I am not in firefox, but working elsewhere. What is the issue? I have rebooted my pc. I don't know how this happend

You could have hot keyed it? meaning, that if you press that certain button, it will pop up a new window? I am just throwing guesses out there though.

Perhaps your "n" key is stuck? CTRL + N makes a new window in Firefox.

Are you trying to? If so, you wrote a script that makes any window named Firefox the active one when you hit Ctrl. If not, I'm not really sure, but I'd guess you enabled hotkeys somewhere else.

no, I am not trying to, otherwise I would post this in off topic. I cannot use my ctrl button now, because it brings up a new firefox window every time.
