i was able to get higher with the 9.5 and remain stable but with 9 i got a 1:1 ratio which was considerably better in my eyes. right now im sitting at 2.95ghz 5 hour orthos stable. with max temps of 49c. i wish these chips had better multi.

i found the info on a differant forum site cough*extremeverclocking.com*cough

if i go past 2.95ghz i get massive unstable-ness but i have a good feeling thats because my psu gets major dips and i crash. my latest validation (in my sig) shows x9 multi and im not sure about ram dividor i have it set at 400mhz (stock is 675)

recently cleanded my hsf and lapped it also checked for my stepping - CAAIG 0648MPM -

I just bought a 3600+ brisbane, along with a 575W PSU and ZALMAN CNPS 9500 Fan/HS, and 2gb of Ballistix DDR2 800Mhz ram. I have a gaming case with plenty of case fans.

I've never overclocked before and would like to try it out. Is there a program to modify the processor settings or Do you just change some settings in the BIOS during startup, if so which ones? I'd like to have it run around 2.5-2.8 ghz.

Thanks so much in advance!
-Ken
