New AMD line gonna beat Intel's?

Anyone think they're new line coming out is gonna be better than intel's? Or is intel gonna be leading for the next lines to come out.

To be honest I've never owned a AMD, so I really don't know how good they are, But Intels Celeron D I've had for at least 4-5 years now. And my FX5500 as lastest me till know. Which is funny, but I could never run games on high setting but still could play them.

Well tell me what ya think.

uhhhhhhh.....

do u think Intel makes GPUs?

It's ATI(now owned by AMD) and Nvidia.

AMD and Intel Make CPUs. ANd currently Intel is owning anything AMD has thrown at them.

AMD's new CPU that might(most likely will at least performance wise) isn't coming out for awhile andd will use a socket differnt from thier current socket, AM2.

As far as video cards go...

for now most will say Nvidia is in the lead and the 8800GTS 320 is probably the best bang for the buck the 8800GTS 640 is good aswell, and OC'd can beat a stock 8800GTX(flagship model). As far as ATi thier HD2900XT is a good card, even for the money, but could be better. Mostly the drivers are immature. Still a good card as far as price/performance goes and if u got teh PSU behind ya and good cooling they OC like mad.

K10 almost certainly will beat Conroe/Kentsfield, I believe I've seen a 15% figure thrown around - but the big question is will it still be as good as Intels upcoming 45nm chips?

I might be inclined to agree. But we will have to wait a year or so most liekly before we get an idea of K10vsPenryn
