Exactly... then I read more details on the supposed issues... and I am not sure to believe it. There are the A, C, and S models from different LCD manufactors. If there was that big of a difference, I would think Samsung would drop the quality control hammer on their two suppliers.
Once again...

I have one shop that will guarantee S panel, for £15 more, and having a look at the PCWorld link (notice I am in the UK ) it might actually be worthwhile for me to go with them and do a 6month credit option, be easy on the wallet then, but decisions decisions

Who did you reserve with after? PC World?

I don't think you'll be dissapointed, its a great monitor - maybe turn the blue down a bit (36 - 40) when using DVI and it should rock

Hrmpf

They tried to charge me the full whack in PC World, and wouldn't honor their web price ^^

I said no, politely, and hated them as I walked away, shame there aren't anymore places selling it locally

Ill sort it by Monday ^^

Did you take the reservation number with you? You have to give them that as opposed to picking it up of the shelf.

I'd be annoyed if they refused to give me it the price it was reserved for!!

I have the C model. I wrote a little review about it. Basically I just wrote that it is true that compared to the "S" model it has poorer colors out of the box, and that you can easily notice more blue than anything else. Once you adjust it with a physical calibrator or a color profile and you can set it to the true colors it's supposed to display.

If you get the S model, great. If you don't, it's not that big of a deal. And besides, I don't believe in constantly returning this monitor just to get an S model and then check the hidden service menu to find out that it's really an "A" or "C" model, or comes to worse, you find a dead pixel on it.

Its a long story, but basically the Manager of the store wouldn't match the internet price because he only had one monitor in store, so they tried to charge full whack. I said 'No thanks' and walked away.

Now they will deliver, but still including the internet price and delivery, it is still £20 more than what it was last week, a saving of £5 from the full price. Very poor service imo, but not much choice when you are trying to get the most popular monitor for the lowest price
