For 300$ I could get a used laptop that would eat that thing for breakfast. Mind you, I know what to look for in the refurbished laptop area as I used to do that for a living, but though it's really not that hard to know when a screen doesn't work or when that clicking sound coming from the case means it's a bad deal.

Otherwise, though, if it has the power to keep up with decent internet, music, and video usage it'd make a great new-laptop for children, elderly, and perhaps pets.

OLPC killer..... When are we going to see the LED backlit screens? Those will greatly increase battery life...

Wow that might be my collage laptop, then i can keep my desktop niceeee

EDIT: I think where they mean custom, maybe they edited the Vista install to disable the Superfetch feature, and only load drivers and services that the machine can use.. Makes sence, but they cant call it "Hacked vista" so its probably a stripped version of Vista

i would really like to see u find a notebook around the same size for 300 used or new....
