6-8 hours of talk time is more than the Blackberry and any other mainstream phone. Hell, its more than about 90% of the phones out there. The average is like 5-6 hours. Please read up on your facts a little. The iPhone will have about 5.5-6 hours of talk time.. which is pretty good and more than the BlackBerry or Xpress Musics

i highly doubt apple is aiming at the average consumer right now. personally, i don't feel compelled to run out to get one after they come out, but thats just me.

Yes, Macrumors is a really bad place to get your information.

It does support IM conversations and it does support MMS messaging for photos and videos. You can also email photos and videos from your phone to yourself or others with a few touches on the screen. You will ahve threaded conversations, meaning if you're texting another cell phone user, you can view the texts in a back and forth IM style so it looks like an IM. There will be an audio alert, as there are for pretty much every phone, for the receiving of messages. Error correction and prevention on the keyboard, correct.

I am not sure. YouTube videos are shown through a Flash player. While the iPhone searches the web with full HTML and javascript browsing, I am not sure about embedded players such as Shockwave and Flash. That's an awesome question though and I will pose it to some supervisors.

I got an answer for you!

If you check out the Apple TV, you'll see a banner saying YouTube coming to Apple TV and it basically explains how YouTube is going to be putting all their videos into MPEG4 or QuickTime format and therefore, since the iPhone will have QuickTime on it (obviously!), you will be able to view YouTube in all it's glory using the iPhone internet browser. Also, remember, the iPhone will be WiFi capable and will actually connect to WiFi whenever it's available instead of using the EDGE MediaNet service (saves you data money) and that means you can surf the web and check out your email and YouTube for free

Also, regarding a few of the past posts... the iPhone HAS been bumped up to 8 hours talk time, which is incredible for any phone! In fact, it's almost double of what most phones are capable of.
