Well I just make mine out of 3/4" aluminum channel..You have to cut out the insides to match your fans so they wont restrict the flow...I'll leave you a pic of my 480 it has 3/4" channel on the back and 1/2" on the front...Its just a rectangle between the rad and the fans...A fan has a do-nut shaped flow pattern when you move the fan away from the rad it helps to close the hole in the middle of the flow...

I like that channel shroud idea. I kept thinking of way to bend sheet metal or a cutout of some 1" plywood, but that's much nicer. I think I might try that.

NP...They are kind of a pain in the neck you have to be pretty accurate with your drilling and you have to cut your bolts to the right length so that you don't puncture your rad core but its nice and solid once its made and mounted...Don't forget to cut semi-circles out on the inside edges so you don't restrict fan flow...
