It's not bad memory, it just won't overclock very much so don't stress it too much because resetting the BIOS on a Bad Axe is tiresome...
Anyways, I'm not really a pro overclocker either, but your RAM and your CPU frequencies have to be kept to a 1:1 ratio in order to get the best out of your overclock.
Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong on this?
Oh, and go take a look in the Advanced tab in the BIOS and see if you can access the default configuration override tab It should look like this:
