Huge new Scythe heatsink - Page 12

One thing I'm wondering:

WHY DIDN'T THEY STRAP A PELTIER UNDERNEATH IT????

I guarantee that could cool a nice 437w pelt at about 13v, giving you subzero temps!!!!

The manufacturer stated that a high-end air-cooler with a fan beats it, so I doubt that a TEC would work that well, if at all.

Thats probably just because it doesn't have a fan. With one it should be able to suck up at least 430w of heat.

Just browsing through that site and look. 2000w?! who in gods name needs that much power. You could power like 10 pcs off that single PSU if it had enough connectors...

The side that has the bracket is the side that the air comes out of. So, in this case, all the ones where you can see the white label.

More realistically about 5 or 6, lol.
But seriously, that's crazy.
Love the idea of external though, too much wasted space inside a case with a huge PSU.
