SONY DVD-RW problem.

Thread Starter
I bought a new Vaio recently with Vista and when I open "Computer", I don't see a DVD-RW Drive icon. When I got to Device Manager and press properties on the DVD-RW drive, I see this in device status:
Quote:
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.
I can hear the drive spinning when I insert a disk, but nothing happens. What can I do to solve this?

if that don't work check the jumper setting on the back of the unit, make sure it is on master and if that don't work contact Sony and let them have it!(nicely of course)
