ASRock 4CoreDual-VSTA Help!

Thread Starter
Anyone here familiar with this board?

Even with XP and all current drivers installed, this board will not reboot without a CMOS reset.
And even then it only post if I hit F1 to set defaults and continue. Since it only has a 2 pin CMOS
header, I wired it to 2 pin momentary switch. And yes, it acts the same with or without the switch attached. Any ideas?

*EDIT* I've replaced the CMOS battery and still no go.

Presumably you've got the latest (1.80) BIOS version installed? If not, that might help.

Highly-Annoyed

I've never been a fan of AsRock ever since mine fried for no reason. They're poor quality, lacking in features...pretty much what you'd expect with a budget board but one knotch below. The board itself may be pooched.

Kar-el, I don't believe so.

I had this same problem with a AsRock board, but I can't remember exactly what was causing it. I want to think it was OC'ed memory, even by 1 MHZ.
