Holy Temp Drop!

Thread Starter
I just got my brand new lian-li v1000b today . After the single most pleasurable assemble I've ever done I booted into bios to see what lian li's airflow would do for my case temps (which were a toasty 35C before hand). I was slightly disappointed to see only a 2-3C drop until I looked at my CPU temp. Normally BIOS reads my CPU temp as a very respectable 25C. Without even remounting my HSF, changing cases dropped that down to 16-17C . That really can't be more than 10F over my room's ambient temp.

Go Lian-li

i have one. it was a build not an upgrade from another case so i dont know what the drop is. but i removed the front plates and added a 120mm silenx 72 cfm fan and the temp dropped even more.

anyways thats a crazy temp drop, your last case must be a sauna!

16-17c is probably lower than your ambient temp... 16c is about 60f. you must have a really cold room

I'm currently in the process of heavily modding a V1000BPlus-II.

Awesome case and such a pleasure to work with. The aluminum is very sturdy, but easily cut and modded. Lian also put a lot of time and thought into the design.

This is cool to hear that it must have good airflow. With my water cooling, I might be able to get away with a single 120MM exhaust fan on the back of the motherboard compartment. Maybe even NO fan - just my radiator ones!
