CPU Temp - Page 4

Thread Starter
been running the cpu's on full again now <wanting to mention that the first time i ran the load on them was the first real time the cpu's got up to high times since i just got pc running yesterday>

Well today <just started the pc up again, pc's been on about 20mins, loads been on about 7mins <going to keep it on a good while longer>

but the temps havent passed 58C today, but im thinking it might be because nothing has heat soaked yet...we'll see how it goes in another 10-20minutes.

58c is still warm tho :-(

dude the Quad Core's are insanely hot beasts... you really cant expect to cool it aswell as 2 GTX's with just one 360 rad lol... you should add in another 360 rad after the cpu/before the GTXs...

What pump do you have? D5?

i know i should lol..but i wanted to fit it all in a the case and go from there...

yeah i have the D5

think i could get away with a 480 rad instead of another 360..id be happy to not overclock for about a year if i can get away with it, i overclock for function, not for rep lol, so wont be doing it until later.

dont want to have to put a rad outside of case if i dont have to, maybe idk, maybe id put it on top of case, hell if i know lol

yeah i have the D5, if i did another rad do i need another pump or will one split off run 2 loops?

after 30mins, seeing 59c 59c 63c 64c, i guess ultimately tho, if im in the safe zone <safe enough>, i might just leave it how it is..i swear my fans arent running at max rpm, i need to check this out real quick..they are supposed to be 100cfm fans <or close> the silenx ones..they really dont feel like they are operating at highest rpm...need to swap fan controllers as the one im using blows.

no joke, i wish it was reading around 50c lol

oh well, ill get the bugs worked out, can always add another rad etc.

yea really hot.. but its quad core, you can't expect anything, dry ice? LOL, just kidding. well, good luck, i would possibly test just unplugging one of the video cards and seeing if you drop 3c, if so then its worth it to get a 240 or 360, before the gtxs, you have a huge case to work with.

theres always mounting on the back of it, rad boxing it and drilling 2 holes for the in and out.

yeah, i know, dont want to tho, would rather crimp lines and pop a 480 in..for the ease of things lol

and the case isnt as big as you'd think once everythings in there lol
post #40 of 87
i would say that your fan controller is slightly undervolting your fans...

i think you would have to add another D5 and then you could make the GTXs a seperate loop... that would bring your cpu temps down loads and your GTX temps
