CPU Temp - Page 7

Hey, Amw86. I was going to let you know to get Prime95 to run on all cores you need to make four shortcuts and then go the the properties of each shortcut and add "-A0", "-A1", "-A2", "-A3" to each shortcut(minus the quotes), this will asign each shortcut to a different affinity(core) and you should be able to prime all four this way

Also for the temps, if you have access to an infrared temp probe that would be the most accurate and a good way to compare to what your programs are reporting and see if they are reporting the correct temps or not. Good luck! I hope you can get those temps under control! Also removing the GTX's from the loop or puting them in a seperate loop would REALLY help ya out

man i just lost all my stuff i typed and forgot to hit post reply lol

yes i was thinking about doing dual loops, i couldnt stop thinking about either 1 big radiator, or 2 loops. couldnt sleep because of it

should i get another 360 rad, and another d5 pump? 1 360 rad for the gtx's and 1 for the NB/CPU

or do i need a bigger rad, like 2 480's, one for the gtx's, one for the nb/cpu ?

or is something smaller for one of them appropriate etc etc..what do i need? lol, and what water pump? another df? starting to think maybe ill buy a submerged pump or something, im not in love with the D5, but its not a bad pump seemingly.

YOU KNOW WHAT I JUST REALIZED!... when i made the connections to the Y pipes, i reversed the inlets and the outlets <meaning what i wanted to be the inlets for water i made the outlet, and outlets are the inlet, i only did this accidentaly on my CPU/NB, meaning my NB is before the CPU in the loop...would fixing that drop temps dramatically? or only minimally?

ill unscrew my cpu and redo the paste, but that means i need to order more as5 /sigh lol since i ran out.

does anyone else agree that i need to rma my cpu/mobo?

especially if its just for a bad mobo cpu temp sensors?

also are we certain its wrong? hope not lol..it is reading, and does jump celsius when under load..about 7c or so

i really dont want to gut anything out, if i do i think im more likely to give up pc's and shoot it with a shotgun, redoing my loops and stuff is a nightmare enough to think about, especially draining my current line <something ive never done..so yay for new experiences lol

also i used to have a infra red laser temp sensor that i used to check R/C nitromethane engine temps with but i dont think ill be able to find it, i might be able to run down to the hobby shop and buy one <or maybe the depot or menards has them idk> but i think they are pretty expensive.

still cant figure how to run orthos for 4 cores
get a second rad. i dont think that setup can handle a quad core CPU NB and 2GTX's

Ira Ira Ira

what do i need to run 2 loops? hehe

Ira Ira Ira !!

i know its worked before i wonder if the magic really does work.
Well im doing 2 loops, 1st loop is just for my cpu and has:
655-480GTX-4 silenX 90CMF fans-stinger water block.
I know its over kill but you want the best temps for your CPU so leave it in its own loop.Put all the rest in another loop.
My second loop has:
655-2 MOFSETS-EK GTS8800 block-Maze 4 NB block-MCR320 rad.

Just save the BIOS to a USB jump drive(CD or DVD will work too) and then boot into the BIOS screen and select the E.Z. Flash options and you can load the new BIOS from there, this board makes it very easy to flash

what 360 do you have?

Well a quad and 2 GTX's, thats hot, i would get 2 360's.
BUt depends what brand you are using.

using the danger den black ice gtx xtreme..top of the line from them i think, is the PA brand or w/e better?

should i use one 480 maybe since everything runs hot, or will 2 360's be enough?

would it be effective to just use one powerful pump and split the loops <except input and output of the pump..but cooling would still be hitting 2 different rads after the heat? or does the water heat saturate to bad and just better to run two closed loops?
