Pay close attention to the 1YR and 5YR graphs. Up, down, up, down. That's how the market goes. Both companies stocks are down from yesterday. Both companies show similar fluctiations in share price. This is directly related to output and revenues, so these numbers don't lie.

Not only this, but most of these revenues arrive from the business and home portions of the product line, not the enthusiast. This being said, most of their R & D dollars are going to be invested in lower power usage and cost/performance.
Hmmm...
Compare Intel's Revenue from '06 to AMD's...
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/is?s=INTC&annual
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/is?s=AMD&annual
AMD lost 166 million last year, Intel's net income was 5 billion.

You can also look at the comparitive balance sheets, and come to some interesting conclusions there as well.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bs?s=INTC&annual
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/is?s=AMD&annual

And these are just numbers through Dec '06. The numbers for '07 have got to be even uglier. The thing is, IMO, gloom and doom IS what AMD is looking at right now, there's not really any other reality. Yes, the market goes up and down, but AMD is clearly running out of cash to play around with. And they might not survive "down" this time.

Intel is Hitler, i mean Intel didnt just get ahead of AMD, they shot out all four tires and strapped a bomb to the car.. Intel's revenge on AMD has gone WAY past a little traded paint... They make C2D which beats most AMD chips, Quad core C2D, Die shrink to 65nm, price cut, price cut, another price cut, octocore C2D in horizon... Its like Intel really doesnt care for AMD, and if you want a monopoly, say hello to C2D for ten years... cause thats what will happen

**** Intel

Hitler was a mass murderer who killed millions for no reason and basically ruind the lives of so, so many people.

What I am hoping is they don't need the OC to perform awesome..

I'm hoping they will still play around with the chips and hopefully make it better.
