I wouldn't worry about it too much, when you take the block off, is the thermal paste really nice and thin as in you can see metal at the center where the core is?

If it's a bit uneven and your getting thicker paste at the center, lapping would probably help quite a bit. But if it's thin...lapping may only help 1C or so.

well im not really sure how im meant to secure the block down as all i was given for the block was a large pack of bolts, nuts and washers n things.

...so it turned out last night that my pc did not want to boot AT ALL... and i was really feeling down as i thought my motherboard had crapped itself, but luckily as it turns out today i took it all out, including my watercooling setup, reset it up on some boxes, popped in a new battery and voila! booting agaiN

Hey last night I smelled burning wiring and shut everything down real quick..I have a homemade PSU for my pelt and a psu for my rad fans and a Psu for my pumps...It took me about two hours to figure out one of my rad fans fried....I was about 3/4 drunk to it wasn't a pretty sight...

Hey it sounds like your temp's are a little better with the high ambient...I always thought it was cold and damp there... ..Its so hot here around 98F with real high humidity to top it off....
