ecs 680i motherboard problem, nothing on screen

Thread Starter
I have a nvidia 680i ecs motherboard

2gb ddr2 ram 533mhz
580w viper psu
200 gb maxtor
300gb samsung
2.1 intel core 2 duo
7950gt leadtek 256mb

I was on my computer last night, just like every other night. However, my friend accidentally forced a shut-down by holding in the button, now every time I attempt to start up the computer I get no signal to the monitor, however the fans rotate, and the neon lighting also comes on.

Obviously it isn’t the power supply, and common components such as the hard drive, I’ve also tried the CPU by swapping the CPU with my brothers working computer, however still no luck. I’ve also tried another graphics card, and the same persistent problem continues.

I’m rather puzzled, the only thing I’m placing the cause of this down too is the motherboard. Unless you have other suggestions! Help would be much appreciated!

Any beeps? Does the ECS board have on board post code display like the EVGA 680i SLI board?

Try to boot with only one stick of ram, if it doesn't work try the other stick.
