PotC: At Worlds End

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
Well. Someone told me not to get it.
So I didn't.
Then my fiance came home with it.
Oh well, let's play.

Well damn. It's great.
Graphics, eh, so so.
Got the solid water thing going on, and the abcense of AA is not good lol.

But- the gameplay. Is great!
Yeah, sometimes I get stuck (like right now )
But for the most part, it is well guided, and the swordfighting is great.
Even played on a keyboard, it is set up very well.
Shift is block, Z is quick attack, X is slow heavy attack, and C is grab.
Combo moves obviously.

It really plays well, especially on my Logitech "PS2" style control.
The storyline starts in the 2nd movie, and it does not follow the movies PERFECTLY, but it does a pretty decent job.

The music is good, the characters, from what I can tell, are all real voices.
Ever played Lego Star wars? It plays nearly identical to that.
And damn, it's funny!
Tell me you don't laugh when Jack Sparrow falls off a "cooking spit" and gets his back end lit on fire. That's good stuff

Even with the lack of graphics support (AA @ all, no filtering even)
It just plays so damn good...

I wish I could get past this next part... grr... or, arghhh rather.
I am stuck trying to lead a drunken Pirate lord over the docks, but he keeps falling in the water while I am fighting next to the boat... I can't seem to beat the guys fast enough so I can cut the rope... ARGHHHHHH... (haha)

I saw this at Best Buy. It looked cool, but I figured it probably sucked just like every other movie-based game ever in the history of gaming. Maybe I'll pick it up if I'm feeling lucky - I feel like a good pirate game could be very fun. Pirates are so cool!

It would be sweet if the creators of the HL series, or CS series, or *fill void here with another successful series* put time into creating a game based entirely off the movie Gladiator. I know there are a few games in the market dealing with ancient Rome, but with the right creators I think a Gladiator game would be pretty bad ass.

Sorry for the off-topicness , I just got done watching this amazing movie and am rather pleased. Easily one of the greatest movies EVER .
