Well if I don't have to spend a load of money I don't want to,
I was planning on 8800 ultras. and if you say i should not get the 1000w
i would follow your plan.

which one has 4x 6 pin pci-e? and which would would you suggest around the 750/850 mark? i just need a better psu for quad 6 pins, as i don't wanna use converters. and i would LOVE to have it quiet as my thermaltake toughpower is near dear quiet.

PC P&C Silencer 750 ftw

I'd get the Silverstone DA850. Has the four PCI-E 6 pin connectors you need, and delivers 70A on a single 12V rail. That's 10A more than the PC Power & Cooling Silencer.

You will be fine with one ultra and you currect psu, before you buy two ultras or even one I would think about upgrading your cpu, I think the smartest thing you could do would be to buy a regular 8800gtx and overclock it, and nothing at all can even utilize two ultras and it will bottleneck on even the most expensive processor. You could always wait to buy the q6600 in july and then upgrade to an ultra.

The Decathlon series also has issues with quality control. There are many cases of the 750W and 850W version starting to make "whining" noises after a while. I would avoid them if I were you.
