As far as prices, remember the new price drop coming? Q6600 ~ $266?
It was an unexpected price drop... and everytime Intel does this, all other chips, conroe etc, get bought up for cheap $$, and AMD gets further and further into the hole.
I just built 4 X2 rigs... AMD is great for budget stuff right now...well, until the last intel price drop happened haha.
