Nope not emachines, its a pionex atx case where the power supply is supposed to mount over the cpu, so I cut a hole in top and mounted the psu, and yeah ur right not quite a 120 but 100, was waiting to see who caught me out.

I would say yould be fine to LAP the ACFreezer7 and leave the CPU alone, I don't trust myself with my CPU. When I get my e6320 I will try and lap my D
Yeah I was thinking, I have a chip protector that came with an OEM PD that I had. Maybe I could put that on to keep it safe. If it's not too badly convex or concave I might just do the cooler.

Lapping? Har! How crazy do you plan on getting with your chip? Get the cooler, try it out and save yourself some elbow grease. Sure it may help by a degree or 2, but I don't think it's worth the effort.

Trust me... you'll be fine in the temps.

My post 101.

Lapping will REALLY help if heat is an issue.
If he can't OC anymore and his temps are still OK, why not lap it and take some more heat off, making his chip last ~10 years (who does that anyway haha)

If you want speed, there's easier ways than buying a 4300. You won't OC a 4300 past an AC7's or practically any other aftermarket cooling's capabilities.
