Uhm.
If they take money, when you don't send it... you can sue them.
I guarantee you were not "victimized" by PAYPAL, you were victimized by someone else accessing your PAYPAL account and using in fraudulently...
Paypal is probably the most secure "money" website around.
I have had it for 8 years... use in monthly, never a single issue.
It's those fake emails, and programs/spyware that are causing fraudulent use of Paypal...

yeah some people have links to:

http://webmaster.paypal.com with things like "your account has been suspected of being hijacked, login here and change your login/pword"

which means when some old woman who goes to that site and sees it logs in and then they have her info
post #34 of 45
That's exactly what happens, some are really hard to figure out.
But just go on the basis that they will never tell you to change your password and never ask you for it, and always go to the correct website.
Some are rediculously easy to pick out..

"Yo, logggin 2 ur acct and tell us that u still want to bee a pay pal mmbr. Yur account is enacteeve until you refrish ur pissword."

You're speaking on matters that you apparently have no knowledge of. My account was not "hacked" and no fraudulent activity ever occurred. Paypal admitted to me that I was targeted for a random freeze for absolutely no reason. Your guarantee is worth less than the time it took to type it. If you do some research, you'll find that hundreds of thousands of people like me have also had their accounts frozen for months on end with absolutely no response from Paypal. Read up on the class action lawsuit or the Attorney General's response to Paypal's actions, it sounds like you're completely in the dark. I'm happy for you that you've yet to have a problem, but to not understand the terms that you've agreed to is ignorant. If you believe this can all be explained by idiots falling for spamware/spyware, then you're in for a rude awakening. It's in the EULA......read it.

I have no reply to that, as I feel like I am being targeted by you just because I don't know EVERYTHING going on with ONE of the many corporations I deal with during the daily hustle of life.

I would assume if Paypal was responsible for illegal actions, considering their size, they would be penalized or shut down and what not.
Apparently I trust too much.
But with 8 years under my belt @ Paypal, and not a single miniscule issue... I think they deserve my trust.
I am not starting a fight about PAYPAL in someones AMD upgrade thread.
This is stupid.

I can't believe I am being called ignorant...

Tyrker, I'd suggest something other than the 9500, get at least the 9700 or something non zalman. Sorry this bull has been dragged into this thread.

*unsubscribes for being ignorant*

You were not being targeted. You were "guaranteeing" me that I was incorrect and also providing incorrect information on top of it. It's very important for any readers to have the correct information regarding matters that could affect their entire checking account. If I came across as harsh, that's the reason why.

You're not the only one that put their trust in Paypal. The main point is that they are not doing any illegal actions. Part of their EULA that we agree to gives them the full power to do so. Paypal has been abusing this power and wasn't responding to consumers. They even used to hide their phone number making it nearly impossible to contact them. An attorney general pursued this and forced Paypal to make their phone number readily available to us.

Of course you'd be happy if nothing has yet to occur. I was a very satisfied customer until my entire checking account was frozen for several months. Paypal admitted to me in writing that it was purely random.

This is not a fight. It's important that readers can base their decisions on correct information and that is which we're discussing. The OP was directly asking about Paypal.

You were not being called ignorant. I was stating that it is ignorant to not understand the EULA that you've agreed to. If you thought that was directed at you, then I apologize. I was describing your actions and not your person.

Better Business Bureau gives them "satisfactory" and the # of complaints isn't abnormal given the tens of thousands a day in transactions they handle

overall they are ok but they apparently dont follow some basic financial institute guidelines or something, just check out the link i gave above for more info.

people with selling accounts have had tens of thousands of$'s in their accounts frozen because somebody paid them using an illegal card which sucks for them.

k bk on topic - for an extra $15 you could have a fsp fx600 with proven reliability, i mean chozart had/has the 700w version.

apart from the psu everything looks good to me

I don't know if the cooling has been determined yet, as I didn't get a chance to read through the whole thread, but the Scythe Ninja is a proven cooler and is very good. Spend the extra $10 or so on another 120mm fan and then you'll have a really really good cooler.

edit: oh you want a lightweight cooler. Get the refurbished one on Ebay. Those are steals!

Otherwise, get the Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, Zerotherm BTF90, or the Aerocool Dominator 140mm.
