Lapping a Tuniq Tower....

Thread Starter
I just lapped my E6600 to perfection. Now I've got my Tuniq T-120 and this thing is HUGE!!! I knew it would be but, your never quite prepared for it's full size.

It also looks like it will be a pain to lap. Any suggestions? How has everyone else done it?

Cool does anybody know what the average time is for a lap? How long has it taken you?

A few hours depending how many sheets of sandpaper grits you use.

I did mine and had a high spot in the middle. Took about 2 hours on it. Once I got the high spot out, the rest didn't go too bad.

Same here, though it took roughly three to four hours to get it near perfect after taking out the high spot.

One thing I did find however, don't be tempted to hold it by the heatpipes - I found the most even finish came from placing a finger and thumb on each corner, and taking slow smooth movements. A little awkward, but gives one hell of a sense of satisfaction when you're done.
