Alienware or ASUS?? - Page 2

Yes Alienware got bought out by Dell.

Id be going for Asus, for the simple fact that the AlienWare native resolution is 1900, yet is only has a Go7600, the Asus seems to know what it is doing with a lower yet perfectly respectable resolution, and a DX10 Card.

Plus the AlienWare logo is probably the most expensive component on their rig

i bought a m5550 last week... suck!

i should get it early next week...

I hope it works... I got it with these specs

Core 2 Duo 2.0 ghz
1 gb 667Mhz
x1400
WUXGA (1920 x 1200)
80gb sata

$1348 shipped...

I would say, don't upgrade the ram to 2 gigs... it usually costs a lot more to config the laptop with 2gb f ram from the manufacture ($240 in the alienware site)than it is to just buy a 2gb kit from newegg for ~$80... and install it yourself....
good enough

ASUS, because it doesn't say alienware on it.

But seriously, the ASUS. Why?

It is more powerfully configured, and you wouldn't be able to max out games on the alienware's 1920 x 1200 resolution..

Alienware doesn't actually burn DVD's

1920 x 1200 on a 15.4" won't look fun.

ASUS has eSata for better transferring to external hard drives.

The ASUS' CPU is just a bit faster.

ASUS has more storage space.

Annnnd you save 30 bucks

Alienware = Dell.

Dell bought them out, my brother builds them and he is employed by Dell.
