Problem with the switch, maybe?

I dunno is this the upgrade? I've had a ton of freaky problems doing upgrades. One guys machine would delete everything he downloaded the second it was done. It was weird. We re-installed fresh over it and it never happened again.

vista upgrade you mean? yes, it is upgrade version..let me give some details on that situation right now

First off, i ordered off newegg, and either i didnt pay enough attention and ordered upgrade, or newegg sent the wrong version <probably me as i made several big purchase's i was drooling over and windows was just one of those necesity's to order lol>

Anyway, i got the upgrade..went to install and noticed it and proceeded to say...****!

so i called microsoft hoping for a work around so i wouldnt have to install xp first <since i cant find the disc> and yes they said there is a way

when your installing the upgrade just dont enter the product key..and voila..you install it, and once your at desktop, you insert windows disc and install it..but instead of clean install..you select..upgrade, and it installs again? or something..and you enter the product key then

maybe thats my problem, i dont know.

Would a bios update help possibly? i havent updated my bios yet..and im ashamed to say, i havent done it yet because i dont know how to..thats on my agenda tonight to figure out..

you said problem with the switch? what switch do you mean?

Yeah someone on the last page I think said to hit the ring thingy.

I don't know, I've been using vista for about 3 months now and it has not done that yet.
