Roll-Call Antec 900 Users - Page 16

I might be getting this case soon... possibly. Per the suggestions of OCN members it might be a good idea to get a new case and PSU as my new rig is going to be ..um larger. It seems the 900 is a hit though from what I have been reading.

Here is the link with the combo deal from the egg.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129021

Couple questions
1. Is this a good deal?
2. Is that a good PSU?
3. Do these online sites have 'super' deals on Black Friday (day after thanksgiving sales)

I'd be willing to bet money that the heat is on the "bottom" or GPU side of the card.
And pretty sure the VF700 will take care of it nicely.

I got this case (Antec 900) for a great deal on provantage.com, I love it, has great cooling and it looks awesome. So many people have it though, so if you want to be unique, you'll have to grab something else.

There is a deal on Newegg for $179 for both the Antec 900 and Antec 850W PSU (caution if you have the 8800GTX card - read my thread in the Power Supply forum). The Antec 900 case is a great case! Remember, there is a 200mm fan/blowhole to draw heat up and out of the system. I cannot imagine that the heat from the GPU will significantly impact the CPU cooling in todays systems. There is so much air moving in the 900 that everything stays nice and cool, even with the fans on low.

This is the link I found to all the Newegg deals on the 900 + PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...Size=10&page=1

LOL! I'm sorry that we had the same idea at the same time. You're asking great questions that we all can benefit from! + REP for ya!

BTW - I would jump all over this deal if you're looking for both a case and PSU! The savings is good and they are usually quick with the rebate checks!
