painting a Computer case

Thread Starter
I scratched my raidmax ninja case up a little bit. I just went to my local store and got a small can of black paint to fix that up but got too much paint on the case. Its all on the top of the case so i got the extra paint and moved it around the top of the case.

The problem is the paint dried and theres some lines going through where the brush left marks and the paint is sticky. I was wondering if 1000 grit sand paper would fix that?

I was thinking about using 1000 grit sand paper. Do you think that will work?

I did mod the case which is why there are some scratches. I put a 120mm fan on the top of the computer. Then I made a vent thing ontop of the fan.

You can check out all my computers at www.xanga.com/productreviews2

Hey Dell Hater guess what

I hate dell too but my parents wanted me to get 3 dell xp's cause my parents like dell but instead of that crap i talked my parents into letting me spend my money wiser. I built 4 gaming computers.
Well the first i built was a piece of crap cause it was an intel p4 2.8Ghz and wouldn't play CS:S.

Now i have all Amd computers. just remember Amd Owns but dells suck.

Thanx for all of your help but i fixed the paint job. I used the wax my parents used on our mower. Sure the scratches and paint brush markings are still there but the case is finally smooth so objective complete. Thank you guys.

If you want to see how it turned out go to www.xanga.com/productreviews2

Oh and the side of the computer looks fine but the camera picked up some of the wax i used. I can't even tell its there even when looking right where the wax is.

Did you mod the side of the case too, or is that just the way the case comes? (Referring to bottom most left picture)

I tried using a dremel but I couldn't get it to work right. So i decided to use my pocket knife.

My pocket knife is sharp. costed me $10.00 and after cutting that computer case the knife is still sharp.
