to get past 3GHz stable with an AMD Processor?!

AMD seems to have problems getting past 3gHz , sad but I don't know why.

Its just the arcitecture.

It is probablly due to the heat it creates and how much extra heat is made.

The memory controller hasd many links to the DIE. Since those links are all interdependant if one of them has an error since the cache is ECC it will stop/warn the computer.

I really don't know but thats my best guess

the memory controler donest like going too fast...the reason that Opterons seem to clock higher is that the memory controler is running slower than a similarly clocked Athlon, making it more stable!
