What is the max kbps of an Ipod Nano 2nd Gen?

Anyone know what the max kbps of an Ipod Nano 2nd Gen is? Never thought about it before, but i heard someone mention something about the max kbps of mp3 players and am just wondering.

I received my Razer m100 Pro|Solutions Ear Phones, and am comparing my 100 kbps (vbr) to my 250 kbps (vbr) music on my ipod with the new ear phones.

So far i can't tell much of a difference, still listening though.

My theory is that IF there is a discernible difference between higher kbps songs than my lower ones, then i will get a larger music player.

And this noise canceling stuff is great! I can hardly hear anything but my music lol.

well my iPod photo never had a limit...I've put music up to like 600kb/s....so I'm sure that it goes pretty darn high.

You can even do apple lossless...so...

There is no limit. Whoever told you that doesn't know jack schidt. lol

Ah, well no one actually "told" me that... I just THOUGHT i heard something about it.

I'm pretty sure you can put what ever the hell you want on it, my question was really if the ipod is physically possible of playing extra high kbps stuff.

So i guess it doesn't have a limit, or if it does it is pretty high huh?

There's no limit. It will play lossless audio, which means that it's full quality....so there's nothing higher than that, other than WAV...but that'd defeat the point...lol.

You'll be good.

iPod is really awesome, and if you can't tell the difference between the two qualities...then maybe you NEED an iPod...cause I can definitely tell the difference on my iPod...maybe your player isn't as high quality? I dono...but those are pretty different tracks...

Use the LAME mp3 encoder and EAC to encode your files. You can also use AAC since it's an iPod.

you probably won't be able to tell a difference with those headphones.

the iPod headphones are decent...and you CAN tell the difference if you listen to the right kind of music. Listen to a few different genres. Something with lots of action, complex. something with horns and strings... and maybe something with lots of drums and guitar...

Then you'll know what's up.
