Opty 165 MAX vcore?

Thread Starter
What would be the MAXIMUM vcore for an Opty 165? I am still @ 32-35degrees, full load, giving it 1.4. Can I give it more voltage?

On air, around 1.5v is "safe".
Once again...

I use to run up to 1.7 on my 170 with water cooling usually about 1.65 to 1.68 and kept it below 45c, dont know about what I would do with air cooling probably less then 1.55 but I usually push things a little bit.

I thought the expert had way higher vcore then that. Thats as low as the a8n had I think. Kind of a bummer.

It does if you use the (multiptier?) you can set it @ 104% 105.2% ect. But the actual vcore only goes to 1.55.

IMO, 1.5 on air is safe, 1.7 on water.

I'm at 1.45v right now with 40°C load. So yeah, anything under 1.5 or 50°C is good.

Ahh so you could go much higher then cool. I never got to play with the expert when I was runing 939. I bought one when it first came out (when it was killing cpu's) and it booted once and died. I rma'd it but they didnt have one in stock so I got something else.

Good ocing boards though

Having a slightly OC'd HTT isn't bad. Just give it a little more volts and you'll be fine.
