Bummer, that chip probably has some left in it. Yeah the 1mb cache makes a difference, its allmost like 300mhz for every 1mb cache you loose with these guys so that is a respectable score.

Do you have the room in your case for a better cooler maybe. I am not sure but with these other c2d's 60 is max and 55 is usually what we keep it under. Maybe some better ventilation for the case.
All in all very good for a 80$ cpu and a matx mobo

Nice.. Real nice actually.. A E4300 @ 3.0Ghz will do right around 20s.. The loss of 1mb in the cache doesn't seem to make much of a difference on that test.. If you could run some benches from my sig. links below, I would love to see your results..

Most all C2D's are rated right around 61C for their max load temps..Even tho they don't yet list your cpu, I would do what you said and keep them below 60C max.. But remember TAT runs 100% on both cores, depending on what the cpu is for, you most likely won't ever use both cores at 100%.. That said, I test my cpu temps by running everything my cpu will do for me all at once.. Games, P2P, TV, Browser, Burning DVD.. I run all those together and watch my temps.. So i would say that 62C isn't bad at all, as you will never run your cpu that hard anyway...

You only get 18.3? at 420fsb? That is what I found with my cpu... I run anything 400fsb to 416fsb there is no performance change.. Just more stress on stablility.. I say only 18.3s b/c I score 16.8s, with a lower oc than you and stock RAM 4-4-4-12 timings... I'm not trying to crap on your 420fsb, thats real nice and hard to hit... I'm just saying maybe you only need 400fsb to run the same performance levels, or maybe a little faster...
