My new Xeon, how's it look?

Hi everyone,
I hope I am allowed to post this link here, if not I apologize.
http://www.pcgallery.co.th/webfiles/...xeon3xxx-m.jpg

I did a bit of research before picking up my current Xeon 3060 processor L631, but had to do more research since buying it. I was seeing people talking about FPO/BATCH # and had to find mine.
I admit I am very new to overclocking, but I am really happy with my purchase. It cost me $60 Cdn more than a E6600, but that did not matter to me. For the numerous comments of the Xeon's stability, I chose it.

Anyone willing to offer me some advice on overclock settings that I could use to set this Xeon to run at 3ghz on my eVGA 680i 122-CK-NF68?

This website just feels like 'home'...

Good choice on the Xeon

As for settings, I'll list my suggestions

vcore 1.4v
VDIMM 2.2v
NB 1.5
SB 1.6
Bus speed 1400
Memory Unlinked/Manual
Memory Speed ~667 (not sure how far your sticks will OC, so start there and work up)

HPET - Disabled
Spread Spectrum - Disabled
C1E - disabled

that should get you started, if you need more help just let us know.

Whodie, thank-you so much for the setting suggestions.

hehe. just threw the setting in. I decided not to up the ram right now, as I will purchase some sweet RAM on friday. Just gotta wait the week. Currently running idle temps of 40*C, same as stock

Next on the list is to bench my pc for the first time in it's and my life... That's got to wait until Friday. I want to see the before and after benchmarks of my pc after tossing in two packages of...
OCZ 2GB PC2-8500 XTC SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel DDR2 Kit (2 x 1GB)
at a small cost of $220 Cdn for each package. I can hardly wait.

I plan on running 3DMark 06 to test my pc, any advice for my first benchmark runs?

thanks all, i've learnt alot here, and plan to learn alot more
