Hello to everyone

Thread Starter
I would like to introduce myself

I'm an electrical apprentice and
I've been into computers and over clocking
from a young age which has got me into trouble
a few times (opps)
Ive been through at least 6 burnt boards so far,
4 power supply's and
a few sticks of ram over the years

about my system
its an old Dell 486SE server case which is sprayed black
with neons etc
the slots used to stick out the top so I've had to mod
the whole case to fit them around the back.
Getting normal drive bays in was a mission from the server
rack system it had

currently I'm running an Itel T2500 2Ghz laptop processor
which is good on power and has the plenty of grunt.
The board I have won't let me overclock it past 177mhz
Which turns out to be 2.09ghz

My graphics card is a 7900GTX
which is OCed on Air at the moment

There's plenty more but I don't want to bore you,
you can look up my system for more details

Thanks

lol your going to fit in here just fine dude.

Everyone has a long list of broken hardware and you like to case mod.

Which is also a good thing

Welcome and enjoy your stay.

Also that's pretty interesting, i had no idea you could run lappy CPU's in on a Desktop. Kinda neat

Thanks for the welcome
The main reason I have the T2500 is I couldn't wait till the core 2 came out
and the power saving is good
30W max from the processor
compared to my old northwood of 120W (3.2ghz 30 cap)
it runs alot cooler. 25 degs at idle
and is alot quicker too

here's the board I'm using
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?f...33&cat2_no=208
its the only board i could find at the time
it doesn't allow for high OC's thou
and dosen't have a printer port

I wouldn't mind a board with SLI and more slots
the trouble is finding one

Thanks
